The YD carburetor is the ultimate YOSHIMURA model designed for performance improvement of horizontal type 4-stroke engines (DAX/Monkey/CUB)
It is the first original carburetor in the long history of YOSHIMURA. The design and testing is done by Yoshimura engineers themselves.
The YD carburetor, developed on the basis of their experiences in competition, is a product that reflects the persistence of YOSHIMURA in every detail.
This downdraft carburetor can be mounted on the engine in a forward leaning position. This reduces the distance between the center of the carburetor and the engine, in order to send the air/gasoline mixture with a very short response time.
The downdraft mechanism allows for a shorter intake pipe and greatly improves intake efficiency.
